SEMA Show 2015: Our Tuesday Favorites

SEMA Show 2015: Our Tuesday Favorites

The first day of SEMA revealed a Tonka 2016 4Runner on 38” tires, new lights bars and aftermarket truck grills from Baja Design, and to my total surprise Smittybuilt is coming out with a expedition trailer.

The Toyota booth officially unveiled several SEMA edition builds, but the show stopper was a over-the-top 2016 lifted 4Runner on KING suspension, 38” Dick Cepek tires, roof top tent, double-stacked lights bars and affectionally called Tonka. I think I want an RC version to play with.

Baja Design showcased their latest S8 light bars and aftermarket grills with cut-outs to fit their XL Pro LEDs and a few of their light bars (FJ Grill $850 with XL Pro lights, $150 without).

Smittybuilt debuted their new RECON Overlander Trailer Kit featuring  slide outs, water tank, tongue box, roof rack and more ($5000).

There were plenty of new product offerings in the SEMA New Products Showcase. Factor 55 debuted the new UltraHook ($250), FlatLink XXL ($250) and The Splicer Rope Guard Thimble ($80).

Baxter Performance has a new cartridge to spinon oil filter adapter ($200) for Toyota and Lexus models. This will come in handy for 2010+ FJ and 4Runner owners who want to use traditional style old filters instead of the oil canister style filters.
