"Toyota FJ survives the Tornado: I wanted to share this story with you. The recent tornados that ravaged the Central Illinois and affected hundreds of families, also affected a friend of mine. Fortunately, the family was at church, but his Toyota FJ was left at home in the driveway in Washington. The FJ was heavily damaged after the storm, and ended up underneath a lot of debris from the houses. During the cleanup, the crew was getting ready use the skid steer to move the FJ out of the way since it was already totaled, they couldn't do any more damage to it. The owner waived off the skid steer operator since he had just found his keys and said that he wanted to just see if it would start. He got in it, cleared the busted glass out of his seat, and fired up the FJ. He drive it out from beneath the debris and parked it. All this with a blown tire as well. Amongst everything going on with the family just losing their house (completely gone) this was an uplifting and emotional moment for them. A moment of excitement. I have a picture of the FJ after he drove it out, and after he spotted his kayak down the street and put it back on top of the vehicle. Unfortunately the Toyota was totaled out, but I just wanted to say thank you and share this story with you."
