Magnuson Superchargers
Owners of the 3rd generation Tacoma are about to have a boosted power option for the 3.5L direct injection V6. Magnuson is currently beta testing a supercharger designed specifically for the 3.5L motor. Magnuson hopes to release the unit into market by end of Q1 2020. While the booth rep couldn’t reveal full details, e.g. HP and torque ratings, he did say we can anticipate a 30% gain in each. The beta test Tacoma is on display at the Magnuson booth. Expect a different slightly different design for the supercharger aesthetics.
Seibon Carbon Tacoma and 4Runner Products
Seibon Carbon displayed a built 3rd generation Tacoma featuring their carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber fender flaring. The hood shaves approximately 40% of the weight off of the OEM hood, and the fender flaring extends out further for better protection from wide stance tires. Also on display is the carbon fiber hood for the 5th generation 4Runner. These new products offer weight reduction and strength.

ComeUp Winch Introduces Slim Seal Series
ComeUp Winch debuts their new Slim series of the popular Seal RS winch. The Seal Slim 9.5rs is designed with a reduce profile for improved fitment in hidden winch bumpers. ComeUp designed a new clutch handle specifically for hidden winch bumper configurations. When mounting the winch, the section holding the clutch arm can be rotated to mount for easy access. The clutch lever is push pull to maneuver similar to a sink faucet lever. An additional space saving feature is the detachable control box, which comes with lengthy wiring to permit the control box to be mounted in the engine bay.
Bestop SUPERTOP for Truck 2
Over at the Bestop SEMA booth, Bestop reps are demonstrating their newly released SUPERTOP mounted on a 3rd gen Tacoma. This product is also available for the Tundra. The fabric bed topper functions as a camper top and easily folds when the bed needs to be exposed. One person can install and remove the Supertop thanks to the smooth folding operation. An integrated boot protects the fabric when not in use. Features include removable fabric side panels, no-drill installation, quick bow release for easy removal, and a fully taped seam keeps water out. Pricing starts in the $800 range for the Tacoma shortbed.
