Over the last 10 years Toytec Lifts has strived to become the top name in lift kits and accessories for Toyota Cruisers, Trucks, and SUVs. Like many other great success stories, Doug Gosh started Toytec as a part time gig in his garage. Today his company occupies thousands of square feet of warehouse space in Northglenn, Colorado and ships well over 300 packages full of custom lift kits, parts, and accessories every day.
Toytec has been a part of our extended family since 2008, when we started FJC Magazine. In fact they were our very first advertiser and have supported our efforts in nearly every issue (January 2008 being the only exception). We’ve tested prototype parts, spent time with Doug and Sarah at events around the country, and have come to call the entire Toytec family our friends. I figured it was high time we show off a little about what Toytec does to keep thousands of Toyota enthusiasts fully modded up and ready for adventure.
A quick video we put together showing a small sample of what our first morning on the floor was like...

We're in Asheville, NC this weekend for the first Overland Expo East, and it's been a great event so far!
The camera roll sits at just over 500 photos so far so here are just a few shots we got today. Read the entire article in the November Year In Review issue.
We were cleaning out our files and found a little footage we managed to shoot back in 2012 at FJ Summit #6. Just a few quick shots, mostly of Imogene Pass between Ouray and Telluride, Colorado. Enjoy!
What did we find? A full aluminum body sitting atop a freshly cleaned 80 Series Land Cruiser frame. Justin & the guys at Red Line are already test fitting seats and lights to finalize model 0001 of the FJU, which will be on display in the Radlfo booth at SEMA 2014.
While no one knows exactly how the finished truck will look, feel, and most importantly handle..we're very excited to see this project get started.
A couple of weeks ago the Expedition Portal YouTube channel debuted a new series: Trail Scout by Overland Journal
This video features the Utah Canyonlands and is narrated by the one & only Scott Brady.
It's content like this that makes us all want to drop everything and head for the back country. We can't wait to see more, hopefully with more Toyota Cruisers & Trucks next time =)
For our video this week, another update from Expedition Overland - We saw the guys out at the FJ Summit & they were able to capture some great footage of the area, as well as the event. There is plenty of great stuff coming from XO in the future!
AutoBlog.com has posted a gallery of photos showing a 2016 Tacoma test 'mule' performing towing tests. This vehicle is most likely testing an updated powertrain, so from a design standpoint it looks like a current model Toyota Tacoma. This truck sports a 6speed Manual transmission, but AutoBlog reports a 6-speed Auto will be available when the truck ships in late 2016. While we're all still wondering what the new Taco will look like, it's great to see testing of an updated drivetrain.
More info will be coming soon, so stay tuned to Toyota Cruisers & Trucks Magazine!
