What started out as a 1981 Toyota 4x4 Pickup morphed after five years into a Class 7 Desert Race truck during the 80s based out of Reno, NV. It was later sold and garaged for some years or used as a play truck, but the heart of the truck was yearning to race. Now, it’s living life again as a race truck in the Ultra4 Spidertrax 4600 Stock Class at King of the Hammers (KOH) with Rock Tech Racing.

• What’s the largest tire I can fit without a lift?
• Can I fit 35’s on that?

There are classic debates in the off-roading community.

Then there was synthetic versus wire winch rope. Synthetic is now considered superior in nearly all applications.

For more than a couple of years now Toyota has been focused on modernizing how they do business.  Part of the Manufacturing and Engineering teams have lived and worked in Japan to come up with a “Global Platform” and how to manufacture it. 

SEMA Show 2021 was back in person this year in Las Vegas, and although it was quite a bit smaller than previous events, there are still plenty of great new products coming out of the event.
